Spirit of Midnight Enchantment

You have wandered into the realm of the Spirit of Midnight Enchantment. Over time, the beings in this realm with reveal more and more of themselves to you. So, please fair traveler, visit often.

What is this thing called Spirit? Why is there a whole section of Midnight Enchantment devoted to spirit? Spirit means a lot of things to people. If you ask 10 different people what Spirit is, you will get 10 different answers. The idea of having a 'spirit page' never occurred to me until I first joined The Site Fights. The Site Fights is about Spirit including showing spirit and sharing spirit. There is so much sharing and caring and enthusiasm and fun, and it is all so contagious. Really, in a way, it is a sort of cheerleading. But there seems to be more to it than that. This part of Midnight Enchantment is devoted to spirit and all that it means to the inhabitants of these realms. Initially, you will learn about The Site Fights spirit and what that means to me.

What is The Site Fights?

The Site Fights is, in the most simple description, a web competition. People can enter their websites and compete against others for votes. The people who enter their sites into competition are called 'fighters' and they are placed on different teams. The teams have different levels and the fighters all compete against fighters on other teams at the same level. Fighters move on up through the different levels as the competition becomes more and more difficult, until one fighter claims the championship. To support and encourage the fighters and to ensure the rules of competition are followed, there are fairies and wee ones, quills, and spirits. While this is a competition, it is more about meeting friends and joining a community.

My Site Fights History

I first joined The Site Fights (TSF) October 12, 1999. That's when I got my first Spirit Fairy Training wings :) I really do not remember how I learned about TSF, but I do remember that I was well into my enchantment with faeries. When I heard TSF had Spirit Fairies, I just had to check them out. When I joined DRealm of the Fairies, I was assigned to the Seryn Isle Elves under the guidance of Lady Symrivven. I recall that the first time I visited the Seryn Isle Elves team site, it took my breath away. The beauty was just incredible. I was totally devoted to being a Spirit Fairy for the Elves and was so sad when the team leader moved on to other things. The Elves disappeared into the Mysts. When a new team leader arrived, we became the Elentaria Star Guardians. That was a pretty cool team to be on and Lady Midnight led us through those changes skillfully. After some time, things changed yet again. Lady Midnight was going to leave. She did ask me about becoming a Lady, but I think I was lacking confidence (not to mention, in those days, time) and I decided not to do that. With a sad heart, I decided to move to another team and that is when I joined DPets under the guidance of Lady Gardenia. DPets was a good fit for me because I love animals!

The Site Fights spirit was so overwhelming at times that I found myself wanting to do more. So, I decided to join D'Inkwell as a Quill. The Quills have even more parties than the Spirit Fairies. I was Quill Adela for DAnime Isle. I even became and Assistant Scribe. The Scribes are the team quill leaders. Party, party, party. We spread so much TSF spirit, it was amazing there was any left!

Eventually, I joined DRealm of Spirit as Spirit Purple Butterfly. This blew my mind! What a wonderful place to be, so full of even more spirit. I was a Spirit for Guenivere & Lancelot's Forest and that was also a wonderful place to be.

I survived quite a bit at TSF. Lots of changes. We had some server problems and that resulted in downtime. I survived!

Server Crash Survivor

I think that it was finally sometime in 2002 that I realized I had overextended myself. I was going through some major life changes at that time. In fact, I was going through career changes and needed time to regroup. For this reason, I made the really difficult decision to leave TSF. Although I 'physically' left TSF, I never left in spirit. I *always* thought about TSF and once in a while, I would 'meet' someone who was part of TSF. So here it is, 2005 and I've rejoined TSF! I am once again, a Spirit Fairy in training! I have been assigned to Guenivere & Lancelot's Forest under the direction of Lady Malarkie. I am so excited! I am also a Spirit in training with The Starfighters under the guidance of Enchanted Spirit Fearana. I have not determined the most efficient way to escort you through all of the various elements of my TSF spirit and so you may find that things are continually changing.
